OPENING NIGHT, October 10
But with the HOT CLUB OF BERLIN, we’ve really scored a great act for this year’s festival lineup!
In front of a packed house, the musicians led by Francisco Batista got us in the mood for eight days of the festival. The opening event focused on the significance of culture in an era under pressure from global discourses, and in particular on the role of “Provinziale” films, which, despite everything, shed light on specific lives in a wide variety of places.
Our guests were Justine Jahn and Nicolás Pindeus, , who presented their films “Machos” and “The Last People” and engaged in a discussion with the audience.
